South-central Arizona offers stunning scenery while being very accessible with just short drives from the Phoenix metropolitan area. It is a great location for a private landscape workshop. Learn from a lifelong landscape photographer in an area that he knows intimately. I will hold nothing back and show you exactly how I create critically acclaimed landscape photographs all around the world. This is a private workshop rather than group sessions to better give each individual client exactly what they need to take their photography to the next level. All sessions will be by appointment and will be custom tailored to your specific need. Your session can be a classroom only session, a field only session, or both. You can request one on one time in four hour time blocks, morning or afternoon sessions as well as specify exactly what your goals are from either a skill or a knowledge standpoint. I am qualified on Nikon, Canon, Sony, and Phase One systems and can help you get the most from any brand. For field sessions, emphasis will be placed on the students getting maximum photographic opportunities. If you choose to include a classroom session, I will tailor the instructional session to your specific need, whether it be photographic technique, photographic theory, or image processing in Photoshop, RAW conversion in Adobe Camera Raw, or other items as per your request. Phoenix, Arizona is a very popular winter home for many species of waterfowl. By late December, most molt into their most beautiful breeding plumage and if you know the proper techniques and the proper spots, they can be photographed at very close range. Other locations available upon request
And many others species are possible.
I will bring you in close contact with beautiful wild waterfowl and allow you to get great photographs. I will provide complete in the field and/or in classroom instruction that will allow you to get many great photographs.

E.J. is a technical expert on many camera systems and has 50 years of experience photographing with some of the world's best camera gear. Learn the basics, advanced features, tricks, and nuances of Phase One, Nikon, Canon, Fujifilm and Sony systems from someone that shoots extensively with all of them. Additionally, Capture One, Nik, Topaz and Photoshop instruction is available; inquire about other photo imaging software. DSLR to Mirrorless transition courses are available as well. Rates are as follows:
